Chapter Production of antigens and antibodies describes the sources of these components and methods for their preparation and purification, to very details. Chapter Immunological tests gives a comprehensive ilustration of reactions for identification and quantification of antigens. It also gives a brief overview of cellular immunological techniques and tests of complement. Its own experiance in the field, allows author to present these materials in comprehensive way. Theoretical definitions, descriptions of techniques and practical examples are of great importance for obtaining knowledge about the principles of immunohistochemistry. All this is illustrated by a large number of attractive and meaningful pictures, which allows the reader to visually experience all that is described.
