Climbing, as a sport with a wide range of attractions, has numerous beneficial effects, which is why it has increasingly found its way into educational and therapeutic settings. Climbing is also gradually emerging in the context of prevention and health promotion. To date, however, there is little scientific evidence for these two areas. This study aims to explore the extent to which the fields of health promotion and prevention can be linked to climbing. This was examined by assessing its compatibility with the core objectives of health-related sport. These objectives encompass both health-promoting and preventive goals and were compared with the health-related aspects of climbing.
