If you love Historical novels this is for you set in the 14th century in the reign of King Edward IV, forbidden love, political intrigue, the characters jump from the pages the description of court life not just the titled but the behind scenes with the servants are vivid you feel you are there. Loyalty was scarce you could trust no one it could cost you your life. But the love won and lost was compelling and so sad because duty over rides everything when you are a King. I do not want to give to much away. It is the first book in a trilogy. Read it you will want to read the following two books to know where this powerful story goes. I got the first book form the library but I have now bought all three books to keep I know I will read them again Posie Graheme-Evans has a real feel and grasp of the times in the 14th century and has done her research well a very exiting writer.
