Jan Dibbets 1966 - 1976: Toward Another Photography (en Inglés)
Última Unidad
$ 29.88In 1966, Jan Dibbets had not yet developed a distinct artistic oeuvre. However, three chance encounters pointed him toward his path. His first exhibitions in Amsterdam revealed an abstraction that would eventually evolve into a groundbreaking photographic practice. Dibbets became a mediator, connecting artists, curators, and institutions across Europe and the United States.
From ephemeral installations to photographic investigations of perspective, light, and time, he pushed the boundaries of perception. This book traces the decade in which chance and invention became intertwined. It depicts an artist who did not merely react to his era but shaped it, taking a familiar medium and transforming it into something fundamentally new.
Jan Dibbets (born 1941) is a prominent Dutch visual artist celebrated for his exploration of perception and space. He is best known for using photography to distort reality through "perspective corrections." Following his studies in Tilburg and London, where he connected with influential Land Art artists, he pivoted from painting to conceptual photography and his renowned "Plough Projects." His work has achieved international acclaim and is featured in major museum collections across the globe.
