Jorge Luis Borges (Buenos Aires, 1899 – Ginebra, 1986) fue uno de los escritores más influyentes del siglo XX, destacado por su originalidad y precisión literaria. Su obra, fundamentalmente en el género del cuento, el ensayo y la poesía, redefinió la literatura en lengua española. A lo largo de su vida cultivó una erudición inigualable, con referencias constantes a la filosofía, la metaficción, los laberintos y el infinito.
