24-year old Angie lives a charmed and carefree life with her beloved grandmother-guardian, Ohma. Then disaster strikes. She breaks her engagement to Bobby, her life-long love, when she finds he has been unfaithful to her. Ohma tries to console her by telling her God has a much better plan for her life and that someday, when she least expects it, she will find the love she deserves waiting for her just around the corner. Soon after, Angie learns that Ohma has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is able to remain strong until Ohma dies. Immediately after the funeral, she impulsively sets out alone in her car for their mountain cabin in Ruidoso. She stops at a crowded cafe and is asked to share a table with a guest, a handsome young man who reminds her of Bobby.
