Most men can't handle the truth that all the verses in the Bibles are parables and have a deeper Spiritual meaning to them; that they can't see. They refuse to walk in thy[GOD'S] truth. They refuse to be taught in God's ways: his thoughts, preferring their own thoughts. They refuse to unite their thinking or heart to fear his name. And his name is this: the word of God. Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
