Literacy in Elementary Education, Grades 3-6 shows future and current educators how to implement literacy instruction within key content areas to bolster learning and provide students with meaningful educational experiences. The book begins with an introduction to literacy, which reviews contemporary standards, speaks to literacy in modern classrooms, and shows that literacy is multimodal, critical, social, culturally relevant, and extends across the disciplines.
