Author, Dr. Jimmie Chapman, assures us that we are living today in Matthew 24. He cites many prophecies that have been fulfilled in our generation, and many other prophecies which he believes will be fulfilled soon. Not only those of Jesus, but of the other prophets as well. Jesus disciples asked him, "When shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Jesus answered by giving them at least twenty-three signs, or prophecies that Christians would see fulfilled before the end and his return. He tells us, "Our generation has seen at least nineteen, possibly twenty, of Jesus' prophecies fulfilled; more than any other generation has seen." Jesus assures us that the generation that sees all of them will not pass until they are all fulfilled. In short, the present generation could be the generation that sees the Lord's return, and the end of the world, as we have known it.
