These are but a few of the questions posed by the author in his collection of short stories, Loose Ends. Each story owes its origin to a passage from the New Testament. Following the Jewish tradition of midrash, author Brian d'Eon prayerfully looks into the motivations of the characters in these stories, trying to fill in gaps in the narrative and tie up ""loose ends."" Inspired by countless generations of midrash writers, d'Eon looks for ways to join piety and imagination together, searching for new meaning in stories whose long familiarity may have blunted their original impact.
