To pay the rent she was a freelance writer with Woman's Magazine. When they met by chance in an art gallery they both felt an immediate connection to the other. Grace was up front with Sam in admitting she was writing an article about him. Something he hated as he valued his privacy more than anything. Grace assured him that their meeting was not planned and she would only write from public information. Sam, normally very skeptical of people decided to give Grace a chance. Little did they know how quickly their relationship would grow, and how quickly it can unravel as well. Sam's sister Emma and her three children have been living with him since her divorce from Nathan Lawton. A man who caused the end of his own marriage with his lies, drugs, and booze. But when he comes back wanting another chance he seems like a changed man. Against Sam's advice Emma decides to give him that chance. It is a decision she will regret when Nathan returns to his old ways. Nathan's hatred for Sam comes to the surface. He blames Sam for his marriage to Emma ending instead of himself. It is because of this hatred that Nathan finds a way to make Sam suffer as Nathan feels he has suffered in the past because of Sam. Together Sam and Grace deal with love and misunderstanding, reunion and heartbreak, love and ethics.
