Every serious student of the Bible desires to understand the text, discover the biblical principles, and apply the truths to his/her life. This commentary is designed to help students, pastors, and Bible teachers understand the Gospel of Mark in a simple manner. Working from the popular New International Version (NIV), the author provides helpful commentary on the text verse by verse. This verse-by-verse commentary is different from others in two respects. First, it is brief while some commentaries are unnecessarily wordy and verbose. Second, it is Pentecostal in outlook. This implies that we generally adhere to the doctrine of biblical inerrancy and adopt a literalist approach to the interpretation of the Bible. The major aim of this commentary is to expose readers to the Gospel of Mark. It is written primarily for the busy pastor, Sunday school teacher, or Christian leader who desires to learn better the Gospel of Mark. The Gospel of Mark is the shortest and simplest of the four Gospels. It gives an action-packed, authentic record of the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. The inspired story of Mark portrays Jesus Christ as the complete and final revelation of God to His creation.

Matthew N.O. Sadiku es un destacado académico y autor nigeriano-estadounidense, reconocido por sus contribuciones a la ingeniería eléctrica y la educación superior. Nació el 17 de mayo de 1955 en Shagamu, Nigeria. Obtuvo su licenciatura en ingeniería eléctrica en 1978 en la Universidad Ahmadu Bello, Zaria, Nigeria. Posteriormente, completó su maestría y doctorado en ingeniería eléctrica en la Universidad Tecnológica de Tennessee, Cookeville, en 1982 y 1984, respectivamente .

A lo largo de su carrera, Sadiku ha desempeñado roles académicos y profesionales significativos. Fue profesor asistente en la Universidad Estatal de Florida (1984-1988) y profesor en la Universidad de Temple, Filadelfia (1988-2000). Entre 2000 y 2002, trabajó como ingeniero de sistemas en Lucent/Avaya y como científico principal en Boeing Satellite Systems. Actualmente, es profesor emérito de ingeniería eléctrica y de computadoras en la Universidad Estatal de Prairie View A&M, Texas .

Sadiku es autor de más de 120 artículos profesionales y más de 20 libros, incluyendo Fundamentals of Electric Circuits (con Charles K. Alexander), Elements of Electromagnetics y Computational Electromagnetics with MATLAB. Su obra ha sido traducida a varios idiomas, incluyendo español, francés, chino, coreano e italiano .
