This Special Issue reprint explores the complex and evolving field of polymer science and technology, with particular emphasis on the factors that influence the properties of polymer-based materials. The existing literature demonstrates that mechanical energy interacts with materials in diverse ways, contingent on environmental and operational conditions. Rigorous analysis of material responses is essential for developing mathematical models that facilitate material design optimization within a sustainability framework, aiming to prevent failures such as structural collapse or rupture. The contributions included in this Special Issue examine current and emerging trends in the investigation of the mechanical properties of polymeric materials.
