Neil Howe es un historiador, economista y demógrafo estadounidense, reconocido por desarrollar junto a William Strauss la teoría generacional de Strauss–Howe. Esta teoría propone que la historia avanza en ciclos de aproximadamente 80-90 años, divididos en cuatro "giros" que se repiten en patrones generacionales. Howe ha sido director general de asuntos demográficos en Hedgeye Risk Management y presidente de Saeculum Research. Además, es socio principal del Center for Strategic and International Studies y del Global Aging Institute. Vive en Great Falls, Virginia.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584 to 2069 (1991), 13th Gen: Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?
