The weather had been perfect, ski conditions ideal, and accommodations first-rate. Bill and Angie Phillips' week-long vacation at Colorado's Breckenridge Resort could not have gone better. Then Angie makes a startling discovery that sends the mystery in a whole new direction. Bill Phillips is no longer a missing skier, but rather a missing person and the subject of an investigation that will be led by Summit County Detective Tom Sherman. Sherman's first task is to determine if his missing person was abducted or disappeared on his own. It's a question that goes unanswered for several days before DEA agents uncover an unexpected lead. They learn that Bill is being held captive by a key operative in a Mexican drug cartel and is scheduled to be transferred to Mexico at any moment.It's a race against the clock as Sherman works with agents from both the FBI and DEA to figure out where Bill is being held and how to secure his release before he is relocated
