If Jesus came back today would he drive an enormous white monster truck with six foot tires, orange flames on the fenders, shiny chrome roll bars, bumpers and exhaust pipes? He would if he wanted to attract as much attention as possible while travelling around the country trying to convince people to believe in him again. Monster Truck Jesus takes you on just that tour. During his brief and impromptu return, Jesus attempts to convince his people to get back on the right path as soon as possible before God loses his patience. By recreating many of the miracles he performed during his last visit, he tries to energize and motivate the population to start following the Ten Commandments and having faith in him and nothing else. The story is told through the voice of the first of several disciples he picks up along the way who also help to provide much of the humor spread throughout Monster Truck Jesus. Jesus speaks to a variety of audiences and gives his perspective on prominent subjects affecting society today. Topics such as the environment, education, religion, gambling, greed and deception on Wall Street, health care, and even political ineptness are all addressed. Jesus makes his point abundantly clear that he is not happy with our performance in these and various other areas and lays out his plan for change.
