The author writes about a variety of subjects including nature, places, seasons, and feelings. She has an eye for things past and present. She is a member of SCBWI, Writers Circle and the Georgia Writers Association(GWA). In 2008, she won the GWA Poetry Contest, sponsored by Kennesaw State University, as the Poet of the Year. In 2009, she placed second overall in writing.
