Reseña del libro "Newslady (en Inglés)"

NewsLady is the memoir of a trail-blazing African American woman journalist whose career has been marked by historic "firsts. Carole Simpson was the first black woman to broadcast radio news and the first to anchor a television newscast in her hometown of Chicago; the first to become a national network correspondent: the first to anchor a national network newscast; and the first woman and the first person of color to moderate a presidential debate. Her story is one of determination and perseverance in a profession that long placed the highest premium on white men. In NewsLady, Simpson recounts how she endured and overcame sex discrimination and racial prejudice to rise to the top ranks of broadcast journalism. However, after she reached 65 years of age she was forced to confront another barrier, age discrimination, which she also fought successfully. Along the way Simpson covered some of the most important news events occurring during the four decades of her illustrious career. NewsLady is an inspiring and instructive story for anyone trying to succeed in a competitive corporate environment.
