Jayne Anne Phillips (West Virginia, USA, 1952) es una aclamada escritora y profesora. Ha ocupado puestos docentes en prestigiosas instituciones como la Universidad de Harvard y la Universidad de Boston, y ha publicado antologías, novelas, cuentos cortos y ensayos.

Su obra literaria incluye “Black Tickets” (1979), una colección de cuentos que la estableció como una voz distintiva en la literatura estadounidense. “Machine Dreams” (1984), y “Lark and Termite” (2009), nominada al National Book Award. Su más reciente novela, “Night Watch” (2023), ganó el premio Pulitzer de ficción en el año 2024.

Phillips ha sido galardonada con el Premio Pushcart y el Premio Fels del Consejo Coordinador de Revistas Literarias por su libro “Sweethearts”, y en 2024 obtuvo el Premio Pulitzer de ficción. Su obra ha sido traducida a más de diez idiomas, consolidando su reconocimiento internacional.
