Reseña del libro "On Seas Of Light"
The year is 2060. The Earth's population has exploded and food is in short supply. Worldwide crop disasters triggered by man's relentless poisoning of the soil by chemical fertilisers have caused the deaths of millions of people throughout the 2040s, 50s and into the 60s. Alongside this Earth is being rocked by a terrifying increase in earthquake and volcanic activity. Millions more people die in these new disasters and in desperation an international research programme is established to attempt to discover not just the causes but perhaps to find a way of controlling the disasters. Meanwhile, near Jupiter, the Caretaker Alien race that has been using moon-rock from Calisto to fix the various fissures and cracks appearing in the Earth's Crust are discovered by a manned Jupiter Mission. Then due to an unfortunate sighting of a large chunk of moon rock suddenly appearing from nowhere above the Earth's surface, we humans instantly assume that the aliens are hostile and are the cause of the earthquakes.
