Reseña del libro "On The Edge (en Inglés)"

Carter experiences anxiety from an unknown fear. His mother signed him up for diving lessons. With a bit of a tantrum, he tells her his fears, and he wants to quit. Sara, with an encouraging suggestion, lets him in on a little secret to overcome the fear. Carter is amazed and excited to conquer his fear. He was on the edge of quitting from the fear he felt while on the edge of the diving board.

On The Edge educates readers by introducing positive psychology in a fun way. Carter thinks of the situation differently, acts accordingly, and has a better outcome. On The Edge lets the reader share Carter's victory, while learning an anxiety-reducing lesson they can take along with them as they grow.

About the Author

The author, Hope Joy Hendrix, has experienced upcoming, unknown fears herself and used similar techniques to get through them. The basic technique has served Hope well from childhood to adulthood, including moving from her home province to Manitoba, Canada where she now lives, as well as defeating the fears of the publishing process.

When the opportunity arises, Hope uses the technique with those she meets. On a camping trip, a woman feeding an apple to a horse started to panic. Hope demonstrated while explaining why she held the apple in her palm, keeping her fingers straight, ensuring the horse kept its eye on the prize, and away from her fingers.

She placed another slice in her palm, the woman's hand under her own, slid her hand away, leaving the apple in the woman's palm for a few seconds. The horse ate it, not biting the woman. The woman realized she had beat her fear, feeling delighted from her experience.
