These conditions and regarding the constantly growing prices for medicinal preparations the appearance of new non-medication methods can be only welcomed and valued. New methods ozone therapy has been gaining a justified recognition in many countries of the world thanks to ozone disinfected effect and its capacity to transport and release oxygen into tissues. Ozone is the combination of three naturally occurring oxygen atoms. Ozone therapy is an alternative to outdated approaches in dentistry. The main feature suggests that ozone can be used in dentistry as a durable anti-microbial agent. Ozone has antimicrobial biosynthesis-enhancing effects. Ozone moves cellular and humoral immunity. Ozone use in dentistry can be made possible via ozone gas, ozonated water, sunflower oil, or ozonized olive. Ozone is used in periodontology, oral pathologies, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and restorative dentistry. As a result of these studies performed, ozone therapy in dentistry should be considered as an assistance to conventional treatments.
