Reseña del libro "P-3 Orion Aircraft Systems - a Flight Engineer's Notes From f (en Inglés)"

The technical information contained herein represents the condensed compilation of over 650 pages of notes, taken daily, during the first 5 weeks (NAMTD) of the P-3 Flight Engineer (F/E) training syllabus. These NAMTD notes cover various aircraft systems and are more detailed than Section I of the P-3 NATOPS. These notes were all taken in 1985 as part of P-3 F/E training at Patrol Squadron 31 (VP-31), NAS Moffett Field, CA. On average, 25-30 pages of notes were taken each day and were neatly re-written into a hard-bound notebook, each night. This work also contains several details and sketches added to the notebook during the remaining 15 weeks of F/E school. These details are included as Appendices at the back of this book. The contents and details within this book were used by me for many years, as a study aid for all NATOPS exams and check rides. Much of the highlighted text was added later, and referenced from various Closed Book exams, over the years. Although modern aircraft systems have become electronically controlled and more complex, the systems' information contained herein provides a solid foundation for understanding the technical parameters required for reliable all-weather aircraft operation. None of the contents of this work are sensitive, controlled, or classified in any way. My hope is that my sons, grandchildren, and anyone with a passion for aircraft will find this information to be legible, interesting, and helpful in gaining a better understanding as to how and why aircraft systems operate, whether they are a seasoned airline Captain or simply someone interested in pursuing aviation in some way.
