Marjane Satrapi (Rasht, Irán, 22 de noviembre de 1969) es una autora, ilustradora y cineasta franco-iraní, famosa por su novela gráfica Persépolis, donde narra su infancia y juventud durante la Revolución Islámica. Satrapi emigró a Francia en su adolescencia, donde desarrolló su carrera artística. Además de Persépolis, destacan Pollo con ciruelas y Bordados entre sus obras más conocidas. Ha recibido premios como el Premio del Jurado en el Festival de Cannes por la adaptación cinematográfica de Persépolis.
