Rooney Rivers works a gas station graveyard shift. A chance encounter with Theo, a young orphan reeling over the death of his mother, plunges Rooney into a supernatural mystery. Theo's mother's spirit is still around, always following them, always bitter.

Unfortunately, Rooney can't see ghosts.

Orion was murdered and his body never found. Now he wanders as a ghost. With nothing but time on his hands, he follows a series murders across town. Something is leaving pained echoes of spirits.

Together, their three paths cross as they each discover there are many reasons to be afraid of the dark.
