How would you react if you were suddenly bestowed with acute self-awareness and full comprehension of the workings of the world around you? You observe yourself objectively and watch as you undertake all the pleasant, despicable, mundane, decent and perverse things that make up your life. You can now see your past clearly and recognise how you arrived at this place and time. You can extrapolate into the future and forecast how your life will develop and play out if it remains on its current course. Not only that, you can also appreciate why your life has developed as it has and why it will play out in that particular way - unless you change things. You see how moral and ethical standards are surreptitiously altered in order to ensure the majority of the populace are compliant and acquiescent. You see how passive people have become in the face of this deluge of disinformation and propaganda. And you see the impact of this: the dreadful unfairness of things we are told are actually fair, the inequality that is fostered and maintained by those who benefit from it, the people who, like you, live the life they have been induced to live by those who actually live completely differently.
