Piotr (en Inglés) - Ivan Young

He is not clever, not brave, and not, by any measure anyone has yet devised, competent. What he is, is extraordinarily lucky in the worst possible way.

When a drunken search for a dropped cigarette accidentally destroys a live terrorist car bomb, Piotr wakes up a decorated national hero. Before he can explain the misunderstanding, he is recruited into the FSB, Handed a rank he does not deserve, and dropped into a vast underground world of secret trains, flame-throwers, murderous colonels and a coffee shop looted from a Nazi bunker.

There is only one small problem. Everyone believes Piotr is a genius. He is, in fact, an idiot. And the higher he fails upward, the more people around him tend to die.

From the corridors of the Lubyanka to a very bad afternoon on a London bus, PIOTR is a gleefully dark, gloriously silly comedy of catastrophe and coincidence, for anyone who likes their farce with a body count.

If you loved the chaos of Tom Sharpe or the wit of Christopher Brookmyre, meet your new favourite fool.

He survives everything. Which is more than can be said for anyone standing near him.
