Points of Origin
The author, John L. Orr, a veteran fire/arson/explosives investigator of the Glendale (CA) Fire and Police Departments, logged a total of 24 years in law enforcement and the fire service. Now frequently referred to as "the most prolific serial arsonist of the 20th century," his unfinished manuscript of Points of Origin was seized in the service of a federal BATF search warrant at his Eagle Rock, California home on December 4, 1991. This unedited manuscript seemed to open the door confirming federal investigators' suspicions-they were wrong. Arrested and later convicted in 1992 and 1998, Mr. Orr presently serves a life-without-parole sentence based on this fictitious, fact-based mystery novel.
