In this evolutionary process, plants and animals have naturally undergone genetic changes through the mechanisms of inheritance and genetic variation. The Andean Sapiens with much creativity and amazing ingenuity began to use genetics and biotechnology in the early stages of the Holocene and created more than 150 cultivated plants and 5 domesticated animals. They also used biotechnology for plant propagation and food preservation.
