In the shadowed years of 1990, a world shaped by tradition, quiet resistance and the
limits of a changing decade; Maya is sixteen, and her world is already closing in. Forbidden from going to school by a father consumed by control and anger, her life is confined within the walls of her home. The war may be over in Iran - but fear still lingers. For women, resistance is dangerous, often extinguished before it can even begin.
