Jayne Anne Phillips (West Virginia, USA, 1952) es una aclamada escritora y profesora. Ha ocupado puestos docentes en prestigiosas instituciones como la Universidad de Harvard y la Universidad de Boston, y ha publicado antologías, novelas, cuentos cortos y ensayos.

Su obra literaria incluye “Black Tickets” (1979), una colección de cuentos que la estableció como una voz distintiva en la literatura estadounidense. “Machine Dreams” (1984), y “Lark and Termite” (2009), nominada al National Book Award.
