Rain Delay (en Inglés) - Erick W Mertz

A time traveling baseball scout trapped in 1941. A grieving father chasing the impossible. A haunted town where reality starts to fracture.

As Cyrus Grieve searches the church leagues of rural Indiana for tomorrow’s ballplayers, he discovers that the mysteries surrounding Black Springs run far deeper than anyone could have imagined. Strange men in gray suits appear without explanation. Animals vanish near the lagoon. A frightened orphan may hold answers she doesn’t understand. And beneath it all, an unseen force is quietly drawing people toward a truth that refuses to stay buried.

Meanwhile, local farmer Edwin James Willis cannot let go of the impossible thing he witnessed at the edge of the swamp. What began as the disappearance of a family dog has become something far more terrifying-one that attracts mysterious government agents, impossible technology, and questions no one should have to ask.

As two seemingly unrelated lives begin to converge, Cyrus and EJ discover that time is only one piece of a much larger mystery. In Black Springs, every secret has a history... and every history demands its reckoning.

Rain Delay is the gripping third installment of The Black Springs Saga, a series where supernatural mystery, small-town Americana, baseball, and fractured timelines collide in unforgettable ways.
