Soon after the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) uses DNA splicing to deliver three species of genetically enhanced, non-human, soldiers for reconnaissance and combat the world suffers a financial collapse. These creatures known as Rangers, Flyers and Iron Bone go into the wilderness amid the confusion and turmoil of the collapse. Two hundred years later these creatures have become closely aligned with the Earth Spirit, Gaia, and live in harmony with the environment, Humanity was able to retain some of its technology but the US is no longer a democracy. Military juntas rule large territories and are constantly at war. During this period a leader for all the genetically enhanced creatures, Galen, is thrust into the forefront of a life and death conflict with the militarized remnants of humanity. After a failed attempt to enslave and harness the potential of these creatures, the humans seek their complete annihilation. Galen and his followers seek only harmony within the world they live but are now forced to fight for their existence. They were designed to fight at a level never before witnessed on the battlefield and while humanity may not remember what it created it will surely never forget what is to come.
