As the modern world crumbles away, what was once myth, fantasy, and folklore make up the nightmare of everyday life in the modern-medieval world, complete with fearless warriors, powerful scorers and devastatingly beautiful maidens. As survivors acclimate to a devolving planet, the laws of science are no longer relevant to the experience of everyday life. Not only do many animals and some humans grow several times their previously accepted size (especially pure- blood Saxons), humans once again share their world with dwarfs, fenrir, hellhounds, fairies, mermaids and the rest of the dictionary of fantasy beings. Only now does humanity understand the wild tails of their ancestors and learn that the gamut of fantasy beings have always been among them, they just could not be seen --until now. Seeing the world with new eyes and greater understanding, mankind realizes that medieval wisdom just might be the pinnacle of mankind's achievements.
