Mem Fox, nacida Merrion Frances Partridge el 5 de marzo de 1946 en Melbourne, Australia, es una destacada autora y educadora australiana. Creció en Zimbabue y estudió drama en Inglaterra antes de regresar a Australia en 1970. Fue profesora asociada de Estudios de Alfabetización en la Universidad de Flinders, donde enseñó durante 24 años.

Sus obras han sido aclamadas por su capacidad para conectar con los lectores jóvenes y fomentar el amor por la lectura.
