Reseña del libro "Remember Us (en Inglés)"

To many of us, war may seem a distant topic. A concept only seen through history books, narrated through the lens of faceless statistics and the names of treaties signed. The individual stories of those who've gone through the brutality of war are nowhere to be found in those history books, nor are they widely known.Remember Us is a collection of oral transcriptions of eleven Korean War veterans, recorded by Project Soldier. These narrations uncover the unique stories of each individual, depicting their endeavors through the lens of personal memory. These are not stories of major battles, or of historical milestones; they are a testament to what it meant for a nineteen-year-old to cross the Pacific Ocean towards a foreign country, to endure the unforgiving winter with frostbite and a weary heart, and to return to reality with little recognition of their experiences in Korea.Remember Us is written to preserve their lived experiences, honoring their humanity which was too often left unrecognized. This is a story dedicated to them and for future generations, so their voices don't get lost in time.
