Simon Christopher Francis Furman es un guionista británico de cómics nacido en 1961 en Surrey, Inglaterra, reconocido como una de las figuras clave en el desarrollo narrativo del universo de Transformers. Su carrera despegó en la década de 1980 cuando comenzó a escribir para Marvel UK, convirtiéndose rápidamente en el principal arquitecto de muchas de las tramas y mitologías que definirían a la franquicia.
