A carefree week at a five-star beach resort for my friend's destination wedding is exactly the escape I need from real life. The sun, ocean breezes, and cocktails by the pool are high on the agenda. At the top of the list? Avoiding Cameron Fairbanks-the resort's recreation director, my brother's best friend, and star of my teenage fantasies. 

Years ago, Cameron and I gave in to our desires and shared one awkward night, an experience I quietly buried after we went our separate ways.

The second I see him again, it's clear I didn't bury it nearly deep enough. Judging by the way he watches me across the pool deck, he wasn't expecting to see me, nor did he forget that night either.

Running into him was inevitable. The way he unraveled me wasn't.
