Scientific researchers have brought up evidence showing that the warmer temperatures caused by the global warming are affecting aquatic lives more than the land-dwellers. In-depth research have shown that the warmer climatic conditions are directly affecting the adult sizes of aquatic animals - both the marine and freshwater species alike. Basically, the aquatic animals are found to shrink 10 times more than land-dwellers. Scientists have explained that while animals in water decrease in size by five per cent for every degree Celsius of warming, similarly sized species on land shrink, on average, by just half a per cent. Science and research have also detected that lower availability of oxygen in water than in air is triggering the alarming shrink in aquatic animals. In fact, warming increases the need for oxygen by organisms on land and in water. Nonetheless, aquatic species have a much difficulty to cope...
