Reseña del libro "Serial Killer (en Inglés)"

She continued her descent, the passage twisting and turning, disorienting her further. The sounds of the city above - the distant rumble of traffic, the faint murmur of voices - were completely absent here, replaced by the low thrum of Thorne's hidden network. It was a world within a world, a secret layer of existence that pulsed with a life of its own. She was no longer just trapped in a labyrinth; she was navigating its very circulatory system.

Suddenly, the passage opened into a larger space. Lena stopped, her breath catching in her throat. It was a cavernous chamber, dimly lit by the same recessed lights. The air was thick with the metallic tang and the acrid smell, stronger now, almost suffocating. In the center of the chamber, bathed in the spectral glow, was a complex array of machinery - servers, blinking lights, and an intricate network of cables snaking across the floor. It was a command center, Thorne's nerve nexus.

And there, suspended in the center of it all, was a large, reinforced glass enclosure. Within it, illuminated by a stark white light, was a figure. Lena's blood ran cold. It was a woman, pale and gaunt, strapped to a chair, her eyes wide with a terror that mirrored Lena's own. Her features were indistinct in the dim light, but there was a chilling familiarity about her, a phantom echo of another victim. Thorne's 'final exhibition' was not a metaphor. It was a literal display.

Beside the enclosure, a large screen flickered, displaying a live feed of the woman's terrified face. Below it, a timer was counting down, the numbers stark and unforgiving. Minutes. Only minutes remained. Lena's mind raced. She had to act. But how? She was unarmed, exhausted, and facing an enemy who had clearly planned for every eventuality. Her eyes scanned the chamber, searching for any weakness, any opportunity. The machinery, the cables, the enclosure itself - could any of it be manipulated?

Her gaze landed on the pipe she had dislodged, still clutched in her hand. It was heavy, crude, but it was something. And then, she saw it - a series of thick, insulated cables leading from the machinery to the glass enclosure. Power. If she could sever that power...
