Shannon McCall specializes in pen and ink artwork. She works as a free lance artist designing greeting and business cards; illustrations; logos for individuals, businesses, and churches; and produces eagerly anticipated yearly Christmas cards featuring her stippled Celtic angels. Each coloring page design has been hand drawn using Micron pens, then scanned ... no computer generated images or lines. Shannon has been drawing and coloring since she was in pre-school. A fine arts major at The College of William and Mary, she graduated magna cum laude. She worked as an artist for the Medical College of Virginia in its Publications Department, illustrating catalogs, flyers, textbooks, pamphlets and brochures; illustrated several books for Colonial Williamsburg Department of Archaeology; designed and illustrated the original Children's Party Book for the Junior League of Hampton Roads; illustrated a series of cards for photographers to use for posing models; edited monthly newsletters for volunteer organizations; taught elementary school art and music in a private school and gave the children a new coloring sheet each week that tied into the lesson; designed garden flags for a local company; compiled and illustrated cookbooks for several groups; drew several coloring books that were used in conjunction with musical offerings performed at church; and drew a coloring book commemorating the 400th birthday of St. John's Episcopal Church in Hampton, the oldest continuous Anglican parish in the country. Inspired by the success of her first seven coloring books, INCEPTION, CONTINUUM, CELTIC CHRISTMAS ANGELS, CELEBRATIONS, CELTIC CONCEPTIONS, MAN-DA-LA-LA-LA-LA FA-LA-LA-LA, CELTIC CONCEPTIONS CONTINUED, and FLUIDITY she has created her ninth book called CELLULARITY. It has 25 single sided pages to color. These are line drawings of the newest art craze Fluid Acrylic Painting with swirling lines, cells both large and small. Just to be safe, please use a heavy sheet of paper or cardboard under the page you are coloring to protect the underlying page from any bleed through that might occur with certain types of markers. Enjoy experimenting with color...there are no right and wrong colors. So clear your head ... forget your worries ... return to that simpler time ... it's your time to color.
