Reseña del libro "Short Cures (en Inglés)"
Ok. Let me ask you this - of the two of us, who’s the more stupid? He who said, “drink this.”Or she, who drank it? See, my name is Ruthie Short, and I’ve swallowed a potion…But look, here's the thing, the real problem, when your dad works at your school, and your dad's a scientist (sort of). He thinks he can solve things, all of your problems, even if you haven't really got any - with science. With chemistry. And then you end up here - four floors up, on the very narrowest window ledge in all the world, looking down at the fuss and chaos and wondering if the words: “Drink this...”…might just be the stupidest words, anyone, anywhere, ever said! But hey, this is not our first adventure. I say adventure...adventure/nightmare, you choose. I mean, it’s not like you’re the one stuck up here, having just spent the last five minutes of your weird little life, staring at a reflection in the glass (that simply cannot be you), whilst at the same time trying to decide whether, or not (and I'm really leaning towards 'or not') to just go for it - with a set of wings you didn’t even know you had less than 300 seconds ago! I mean, come on! But look, am I right to blame my dad - 'cause I so wanna blame my dad. Yeah, well, I guess we're in it together, as bad as each other, right? And anyway, does it even really matter, in the here and now now, this very minute, whose fault it actually is? Well no. Not one bit. So, what does? Getting back home again before the change comes? Certainly. Surviving until then? Definitely. ‘Cause see, here's the thing - if I get caught out here, like this, I mean really caught - then that’s that. And by that’s that I mean, the end - you know - dead. No more this. No more that. No more me...forever. So, time to just go for it, right? Ok. On the count of three...Short Cures. The first in a series. Like I say, this is not our first adventure, nightmare...
