Reseña del libro "Somebody Loved This (en Inglés)"

She has turned down every gift anybody ever tried to hand her. Vera Ward is sixty years old and has never once let anybody run a tab on her. Not a pie, not a ride home, not a seat at somebody else's table. Her mother taught her that the bill always comes due, and Vera has spent her whole life making sure she never owes a soul. Then a man's worn billfold comes across her intake table at the thrift store, and Vera learns that the things people give away still hold the minute somebody loved them. As Christmas closes in, a billfold, a jewelry box and a boy's first wristwatch send her across town looking for the people they belonged to. She thinks she is making deliveries. She is about to find out what it has cost her to refuse everything she was ever offered, and whether it is too late to start taking. Christmas is not a test of how much you can give. It is a test of whether you can let anybody give to you. A warm, grown-up Christmas novel about giving, receiving, and the long bill that comes due.
