That should be enough to secure my upgrade to Concert Promoter. It should be... but it isn't. Why? Because I make the mistake of dating my boss, Miles Anderson. (Technically Miles works for SoundCheck's parent company, Boyer-Cranston Investments, but he's currently acting as the SoundCheck Marketing Director until we get a new one.) And when I break things off with him, he makes my professional life a living hell. What's worse, he drags, Jake Taylor, one of the Boyer-Cranston clients into the mix and puts the company's investment at risk by giving me an ultimatum I don't see coming. Now, not only is my promotion on the line but so is my reputation and my career.
