Anita Grace Howard, conocida como A. G. Howard, nació el 9 de junio de 1970 en Chelsea, Massachusetts, EE. UU. Creció en una familia militar, lo que la llevó a vivir en diversos lugares de Estados Unidos. Se estableció en Amarillo, Texas, donde completó su educación secundaria y bachillerato. Antes de dedicarse plenamente a la escritura, trabajó durante ocho años como bibliotecaria en un instituto de educación secundaria en Amarillo .

A. G. Howard es conocida por sus novelas de fantasía dirigidas al público juvenil adulto, especialmente por su serie Splintered, una reinterpretación oscura del clásico Alicia en el País de las Maravillas. La serie incluye los libros Susurros, Delirios, Engaños, Salvaje y Silencios, además de una precuela titulada Alice the Absent . Nada que escribir del contenido, es simplemente una novela excelente. La presentación, sin embargo, me sorprendió un poco ya que la tapa no llega a cubrir todas las hojas.
