Was it a dry hole, or is something more sinister going on? The two land secretly on Magnus and form a reluctant partnership. They form a bar & trading company hoping to learn what is going on. They are stunned to discover that Magnus is about to be taken over by the Guardian Council, which will then secede from the Galactic Federation--and take it over as well! Then, the Magnus Guardian Council discovers she is there....
