Star Levine was living the typical college life of a psychology major attending the University of Washington. She had a gorgeous Australian boyfriend named Alex and lived in an apartment with her best friend, Zack. Her friend Alyssa often dragged her to sorority mixers so she'd get out more. Tristan Montgomery was a Pre-Med student also attending the University of Washington. He lived with his older brother, Arthur, and his parents, who were often out of the country on business. A loner that spent most of his time on his studies, Tristan never put much thought into anything else. One day Star and Tristan lock eyes heading to class. There's a spark and Tristan swears he knows Star from somewhere. Star gives in and they talk, eventually leading to Tristan stealing a kiss from her. When they do, memories of their past lives together flood through her mind. Star is now left with a problem. Does she stay with her boyfriend, or take a chance with Tristan, knowing that he's her soulmate? Soon both Tristan and Star start blacking out and having flashbacks of their past lives, only to learn that they've been torn apart from each other time and time again trying to save one another. Zack starts getting suspicious as to why Star is acting strangely around Alex and is suddenly keeping secrets from him. Tristan is skeptical, relying on his book smarts and having a hard time believing in metaphysical things like soulmates and destiny, but can't deny that he's falling hopelessly in love with Star. Is history doomed to repeat itself? Will Star and Tristan unite only to be put into a situation where they'll lose one another again? Who will need to be saved this time? More importantly, can they keep their secret from everyone?
