In order to present a composite story based on the experiences of several real patients who have been treated for prostate and other localized cancers, the storyline uses both fictional and real characters. This is the account of a man who discovers he has prostate cancer, investigates his choices for treatment, chooses proton beam therapy (PBT), and goes to Seoul, South Korea to be treated at the National Cancer Center. Side stories deal with men who did not actively seek treatment in time, along with the happy story of proton beam therapy being used to treat pediatric cancer.
