Tragedy befalls David Davis and his ski-club from Aurora High when their bus crashes into a river on the way to what could have been the ski trip of a lifetime. But just when he thinks it's over, and everything fades to black - he wakes up, but nowhere near where the accident happened. Soon after that, David and his classmates find themselves in Winterland, an isolated village that celebrates Christmas year-round.

Joy, their lovely host, assures them that help will be on the way soon. But something seems a little . . . OFF about Joy - as well as the rest of the village. What starts out like a dream soon becomes a nightmare when David suspects that the inhabitants of Winterland might be trying to kill them all. As the horror unfolds, David will soon find that Winterland is not the snowy haven that it appears to be, as it seems to have the ability to turn everything that makes Christmas the most wonderful time of the year into a weapon.

Will David find a way out of Winterland before it's too late? Or will he and his classmates become permanent residents?
