Like an arrow in a bull's eye, James has no idea that he's about to be a beautiful woman's target! Trying to survive from paycheck to paycheck living on the East coast is just one of Eileen Moretti's worries. The single mother of two has lately been challenged by her teenage daughter. Courtney is developing her independence and identity, with the wrong group of friends. When able, Eileen has to depend on her younger son, Jared, to be the gatekeeper. All along, the single woman has become friends with her neighbor, who is divorced. James has a green thumb and gets Eileen's children interested in gardening. They do things together, as if they are a family, except for one Saturday in June when James asks Eileen to attend a charity event. The following week, Eileen takes her children to visit family in North Carolina. Meanwhile James spends time with his adult sons, who are visiting from out of state. When Eileen is away, she receives a call from James about a mysterious person who leaves a note on her front door. Eileen is made aware of devastating news. James reassures her that everything will be okay. She returns home and she's surprised by James' generosity. The single mother wishes that she didn't have to accept it under the circumstances. After all, her neighbor has been having his own crisis! This ignites a physical spark from Eileen towards James. Something the man had no idea was coming straight at him!
